When my good friend told me he was getting married in Tuscany, not only did I know for certain I’d be there I decided to take a long desired bucket list trip to Rome beforehand. My solo journey to Italian capital was adventurous, exciting and full of culture and history. This experience of the city was made possible by the support of Kevin at Substantia. Once I decided what I wanted to do and see, Kevin helped with accommodation, airport travel, guidance on travel around the city and train ticket advice for my journey onto Florence. As well as this he helped with tickets for tours of the sights I so wanted to see. This was all so helpful as a solo female traveller experiencing the city for the first time.
I packed in lots of sightseeing in three days, including Vatican City, St Peters Basilica, Vatican Museums and The Colosseum to name a few. Although I didn’t get to throw a coin over my shoulder at Trevi Fountain there is no doubt that I will be back to experience the beauty of this city again and I definitely will be doing this through Substantia. Thank you for all your help and support with what has become one of my most unforgettable travel journeys and now much loved cities in the world!

Just wanted to say a massive thanks for helping to make our 1st trip to Rome a very memorable one. 3 days most certainly was not enough to see such a fantastic city. The accommodation you chose was not only central but the staff were extremely helpful, friendly and excellent service. The hotel was so close to all the main attrattractions and very easy to get around, your advice on tours was spot on and skip the line saved us valuable time. Thank you also for your speedy response to all my queries, and our driver was great help, filling us in on popular spots as we drove along. We of course visited the wonderful Scholars, it lived up to your recommendation we had mighty craic and of course good food.
We most certainly will be back, as we spoke to a local lady living there all her life advised a life time is not enough for such a terrific place.

From the outset they were extremely courteous and professional and made planning the entire trip very easy. They took care of everything for us.
